Yeah, I hadn't come across quite that level of ignorance before. Then again, as you know I hang around AccessifyForum mostly and it would be a bit of a surprise if people there were completely ignorant of disability issues.

The complete nonsense on some of the sites, though... I just hope these people are the 'geeks-in-a-bedroom' brigade, rather than representative of serious IT professionals. Of course, it could always be a cultural awareness thing and you might find different responses from different countries, possibly depending on legislation, presence or otherwise of groups like the DRC etc in those countries. Not that there's really any excuse for it.

Like someone else said, if a website or store wasn't prepared to serve black people, they'd be rightly criticised and with luck, as well as being sued, their name would be well and truly dragged through the dirt. Yet it seems to be perfectly acceptable to have this attitude in relation to disability. I really can't fathom it and I admit to being disappointed in human nature (again).
